Preschool Mouse Club ∙ JET English School

What is Mouse Club?

Mouse Club is a Preschool school for children from 3 to 5 year olds, whose parents wish to immerse their children in the English language. Our qualified and experienced teachers provide a warm, nurturing and well-structured environment. We make use of the Preschool Curriculum familiar in English speaking countries and adapt it for a shorter schedule. A healthy Snack in the morning and afternoon is included and younger children are welcome to have a nap after lunch.

The Preschool Curriculum used in Mouse Club stimulates the child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. The activities include free play, outdoor games, music, hands-on activities, painting and story sessions. The children explore and cook, they interact with other children and grown-ups and learn about other cultures, all in a fun-filled and playful English atmosphere.

Too young for a “foreign“ language?

The younger the better… Young children have the natural ability to easily learn more than one language at the same time. Some of the children at Mouse and Cat Club speak two or more languages at home. Through early, playful exposure children are encouraged to be all the more open-minded and to gain a natural self-confidence in dealing with new things. Children soon get used to another language being spoken around them (though all our teachers do understand at least some German), and English becomes their own natural language. Native English speakers in Mouse Club acquire advanced language skills.

English knowledge is not necessary, but children should be toilet trained. Entry is best at the beginning of a term, but if places are available the child may start at any date. Written applications are added to the waiting list as early as six months in advance.
